The first two pieces appear to be the Propeller pattern, thought to have been cut by the FX Parsche company. The third piece, a pitcher, is gorgeous but I've never seen any pattern like it.
While this bowl is certainly cut leaded glass, I don't believe it is American made and believe it was made in the last 25 or fewer years. People often marry pieces with holders like this. The bowl ...
Funny, it's telling me I have to make a longer comment :) I'd be happy to look at your glass. The only glass I know anything about is cut glass, however.
Anita - Sure I'll look at what you have but the only thing I can possibly help with is cut glass.
Pressed glass is mechanically made glass. During the American Brilliant Period there was a huge industry imitating the designs of the more expensive, hand made, heavily leaded cut glass. I could giv...
I'm pretty certain all pieces pictured are pressed glass. I believe there is a spooner and rose bowl in addition to the pieces you've already named. Strawberry diamond and fan is cut glass terminol...
This is Hawkes Gladys pattern. There was a signed piece of Gladys on eBay recently: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=300683396608&si=1k%252FbMP...
I can find a few pieces of Bergen's "Prism" in my books, maybe even your piece if I look enough. I'd feel pretty confident this is Bergen's "Prism."
To whatisit, here is a link to the pattern of your bowl on the left, Libbey's "Colonna" pattern. Thankfully there was an accurate and clear picture already on the internet of it: http://www.liveau...
No, that didn't work, sorry for the clutter. I'll just use the Facebook method.
Scandanavian - I tried Tinypics (Photobucket) but there was no way to make an individual album or photo public or private apparently. Either all of my photos are public or all are private. With Face...
I made an album on my Facebook page of the catalog page. Remember, this does not say who made the glass - you are just seeing it in a catalog from 1901 and as there are identifiable JD Bergen and Mer...
I can't find a way to post a picture in a comment on this web site. How do others do it?
If this is 7-1/2" to 8" wide, I find it in a wholesaler's catalog and possibly a retailer's, 1901 and 1903. The 1901 is a trade price list and shows this piece as an olive dish. There is Bergen and ...
The first piece, a bowl, 9 x 4", looks like Libbey's Colonna pattern. It would be nice to see the pattern on the inside, the only way to determine any pattern. If correct, this piece should be signe...
