Foot note: Keep the metals pieces (I assume is filigree) in a safe place. It can be put back or recast and inserted, which adds to the value of the piece. Its a nice shade.
The shade and the base are likely a "Marriage" and where put together because they looked OK. That's done a lot. No slag glass shade from that era, would come with a Nippon marked base. I have about ...
