Does it change color, or shift color?
OlofZ, thanks for the info! Any idea of what country it may be associated with? Do you think it's silver with the raised markings/hallmarks?
You can Google all the names that you have been given. I would find a reliable jeweler to take them too. I have a collection I would like to take in also.
But it is a beautiful stone!
I was thinking this one was a type of Garnet, just couldn't think of the name.
Kunzite comes from Brazil and Afghanistan mostly. The best out there is from Afghanistan in my opinion. Age really isn't a factor in gemstones...clarity, size, color are what you want to know.
Might be London Blue Topaz
Might be green Tourmaline
Could also be Kunzite, deep pink to deep pink/purple
Might be Zircon too
Might be Moonstone too
Also might be Imperial Zircon
Pale Amethyst, or maybe purple Spinel
I agree, looks like Garnets
Some rubies are on the pink side, but this is a deep pink, at least the pictures to the right.
I collect some stones
I think this is a too pink for Amethyst. Might be a synthetic Alexandrite, or synthetic Color change sapphire.
Also could be Spinel
Looks like Pink Tourmaline.
Garnet, Tourmaline, or Apatite?
Could be Iolite or pale Tanzanite
Looks like Chrome Diopside
Probably Mandarin Garnet but wouldn't it be nice if it were Padparacha Sapphire!
