History of the Schureman Estate Jewelry
I inherited all these antiques.
My knowledge of the Schureman Estate items I am selling is very little. Because the antique Jewelry, furniture etc., belonged to my stepfather and his former wife. My stepfather was born in 1925, his first wife was born in 1908, my mother was born in 1917. All have passed away.
Lifetime Collection of a War Hero My Father,
Major Schureman took part in the September 17, 1952 reconnaissance over the Soviet Union. They were told if they were shot down or captured, there would be no rescue operation. Despite this, they risked their own lives to gather information on a possible new Soviet air base being built in Franz Joseph archipelago. In 2002 he received the Distinguished Flying Cross 50 years after the mission. For more info go to: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CREC-2002-11-14/pdf/CREC-2002-11-14-pt1-PgE2030.pdf
