A friend of mine was just showing me a very similar phonograph that his grandfather had bought new in 1920. They have the original invoice showing a total of $125.00 for the player and 10 records. Big...
For installing new piston rings? That does make sense. Must not have been extremely successful, I've shown it to quite a few mechanic types and they were stumped.
