I would really like to find out the real story and origin behind this coin and especially the “T” it’s such a mystery I haven’t been able to find anything on it.

I have the exact same coin my mother came across she’s had it since she was 12 years old it also has the “T” beside 1861 and I am trying to gather information on this also to see if it has any value.
