Just one more question, was it the norm that the title be hand painted? I'm just wondering if this was altered or if it's original. There is one spot that seems to have been touched up

Great. Thank you for the information & the link, it's much appreciated. This one does have a fold, seems like it was at some point folded in 2 halves. Does the fact that the word Captain is missing it...
