If it is some kind of percussion instrument it shows no signs of wear and tear.
It makes no particular noise when hit against anything.
The handle is solid. One of the pics appears to show a seam, but it doesn't look glued.
I have a short video, but it looks like I can't upload a video.
It was found by a friend of mine at a Red Racks (2d hand store). It does not come apart. She noticed the join running the length of the item outside in the sun. I am asking for more pics. Stay tune...

I have a small collection of vintage trade beads. You might want to investigate "vintage or antique trade beads" or "vintage or antique costume beads." Most of the old beads are venetian or czech made...
