The lighter works. Those lighters on eBay selling now are from 1979 and the 1990's none from 1980. Just like s camero, one year can be more valuable then another. If they were given in mass production...
The only other lighter from this year that I have found was sold on eBay for 1100. I know it's not worth 10.
