all true but i sharpen knives and this is very fine steel smooth edge great crystaline structure probably closer to true steel than any i own ...but i sharpened my eye brand from the middle of the kn...
naw this is custom no factory puts out work this fine i got the knife in montana it was from an estate sale guy who sold it to me didn't know jack about knives and didn't want to tell me any more i go...
every now and then someone accidentally makes true steel [ an opinion of my own ] some drunken worker slipped up and got it right ......i bought about 27 german knives and found 2 that are about 78%tr...
the last pic is a german trench knife kissing crane they keep trying to make better steel [ yeah tryin]
what a lovely knife reminds me of one i had called big scary i have seen those makers marks before,it is old might have been the american blacksmith???
