Obviously this is not the original 1926 François Basin depiction of Femme Mangbetu. I appreciate your experience but I find your dismissal of this item as "a new repro" to not be helpful in any way. ...
But if it is a reproduction I should be able to find the original source shouldn't I? What indicates that it is new?
The screw mounts on the bottom match the standard layout for hood ornaments.
