Scott, I know he lied about his age and was a bugler in 1914; I do not believe he was in the service before that. He served aboard the USS Wolverine (ex: Michigan) before WWI. Thanks for looking....
Scott, You said this sailor is identified on the back; this looks much like my grandfather Frank Grucza who was a buglar around this time. Could you let me know if this is the name? Thanks, Tim
