Thanks for all the inforamtion. I do not believe the chair is original to him, it just fits his size. I am in the North GA area near TENN and NC. I purchased it from a dealer here.
Thanks, I thought the hole might have held a hitching ring for a horse, maybe he sat on a pourch of an estate? His outfit is a suit and tie with dress shoes?
