I recently came across a huge old wooden snatch block at an estate sale which has got me interested in starting to collect old wooden pulleys.

That's looks almost identical like the one I have. I found it at an estate sale, its about 30 lbs and 2 ft to the top of the hook. Do you know any history behind yours?
