I also learned that the side of the dresser is about 1/4 inch of veneer and the drawer fronts are only 1/16. I think someone maybe have already sanded it. Too bad
Thanks for the suggestion. I just stripped the outside of the dresser, not the drawers. I'll pick up some lacquer thinner tomorrow and try that out with the steel wool and remove the stripping stuff. ...
