Thank you very much :-D.Yes he definitely feels crunchy. I will look into finding an expert to repair his paws.
Found some markings on the bottom but can't make out what they are.

I've added a few more photos with the help of my daughter. I think the pads might be velveteen- fabric seems smooth- and there is remains of claw stitching on the pads of the right paw and foot.
Oops I meant it has a hole in its left ear. Can't tell right from left!

Thanks for replying. There is no button in ear but there is a hole in right ear where button could have been. Either that or it's just a small rip! Hole doesn't seem to go all the way through to back ...
