Here is a set (6) of Satsuma teacups I bought at a Dallas estate sale May 2011. I think I paid about $70-$90 for the set. They came from the estate of a well-known high-society type lady that had outlived her immediate family and donated her estate to a local charity for the proceeds. It was my birthday present to myself.

The detail on these cups and saucers always amaze me. I am guessing they are from the 1880's, but that is just a wild guess, No marks on the bottom. Does anyone have any thoughts on the age? I'd love to get your opinion

I also bought a similar set, which has a phoenix-type bird on it from the same sale. It was the last day of the sale, and they had marked items down. I will post pics of that set soon
