Loetz Phänomen Genre 1/473 with Sterling Overlay

If you try to sell me a piece of Loetz S.O I will usually shy away from it. Pieces are usually missing or lifted or it detracts from the decor. The chase work to this silver was just so highly detailed I couldn't pass it up. This time the silver is perfect and the glass is less than. There are several burst bubbles to the surface and some tooling marks, all in the making... BUT the iridescence makes up for it.

PhenGenre 1/473 is really just a glorified Papillon oil spot decor. It doesn't extend over the entire surface like Papillon and it isn't pulled from the base to 3 or 4 peaks like Medici. This one stands 8 1/4" tall. There are some barely legible hallmarks at the base.
