any information on this sign would be great. I found it on a drive to chicago on a stop to stretch my legs. I can't find info anywhere. they have repro metal signs just like it but this one is Thicker cardboard maybe 1/16-1/8th of an inch and measures somewhere in the range of 8x14 or something close. some wear on the lower right corner and stains on the white but otherwise it's in great condition.

Oh, and a little info: The two dots separating Pepsi and Cola were used between 1906 and 1940, and they increased the bottle size from 60z to 12 oz in 1936. (Hence the "Bigger Better") So its from the late '30s, probably closer to 1936.

I had a feeling you might see this :P

There is more too it than just aesthetic preference, but I won't get into it.

I amm a Pepsi fan. Ok..perhaps a bit obsessed. My dining room and kitchen are both done in a Pepsi theme !! This sign is indeed from 1936 to 1940, however many times promotional items were in fact "ordered" in perhaps 1939, but not received until much later, like in 1942, because many promotional items were delayed during the war. They may have been made pre- 1940, but the store did not receive it and display it until much late...especially those located in the seldom traveled areas of the mid-west and desert regions. It is definately a "Keeper" based on your description !! Coca-Cola items are a "dime-a-dozen" they are everywhere...soooo many knock-offs, etc. Pepsi is a challenge. Not to say there are not fakes, knock-offs etc. of Pepsi items, but there is more intensity to the collecting of Pepsi items. (This is strictly the opinion of a true Pepsi Lover; not intended to offend any other soft drink item collectors :-) PEACE ! )
