Hello Again,
I've had this for about a week. It had been sitting on the shelf at GW for about a month. I looked at it several times and finally bit.
I couldn't make up my mind and didn't want to be duped into buying a Pier 1 vase,......:)
But!, the quality look pretty fine to me. Appears to have some age,( wear on the foot, a couple of little nibbles on the rim ), and it has that pearly cast.
The finish is kind of odd, but also interesting. It has a nice thickness, and a beautiful ground rim.
I don't see a signature, but it would be difficult to make one out on the texture.
So,........what do you think?
Thanks for the look and love, Moonstonelover!
Budek, lovely vase. Can u take take a picture of the bottom of the vase
I believe the finish is known as a "Chipped Ice" finish. Often seen on Pairpoint and Handel reverse painted lamp shades as well as art glass vases.
Thanks to Kevin, PhilDavidAlexanderM, and Mike, for looking and loving!
