This is our Turmalin vase. This decor isn't unknow for you as Bohemianglassandmore has got three of them (three amazing vases, I have to say. Here they are:
    http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/41326-loetz-turmalin-prod-nr-2-536-1902
    http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/37816-loetz-turmalin-dek-305-form-nr-unknow
    http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/59189-loetz-turmalin-m-boutons-serie-ii-form

I am not talking much about the Turmalin range as Bohemian has done before and has done it very well: "a colorless ground and a slightly violet matte iridescence", with a "pattern of gold paint in relief" , and "prunts applied while the glass was hot". Anyway, I invite you to see his three amazing vases which links I have given before. There is one refference to it, in the pattern paper of a simmilar vase made in “creta mit knöpfen”. (It's funny but when the vase is in Turmalin colour they use the French term “boutons” whereas when the vase is green, for instance, they use the German “Knöpfen”).

On the other hand, the shape I think to be quite rare. Perhaps too complicated at first sight, but its subtle colour fits perfectly with it, and so do the prunts, that show different and stronger colours depending on the light.

On pic No.2 there's a display of four different views of the vase. It's interesting to observe how the shape works upside down, the flat base (non polished as Bohemian's and with no number at all on it) and the strong colour of the prunts, as well as how the decor in relief works.

The vase is in perfect condition and stands 23,5 cm tall.

On pic No. 3 you can see the paper pattern i mentioned before accompanied of the sellers picture and a picture of Tourmalines. What I love about it is that they can be either pink or green and that's precisely the colours Loetz used when making these “mit boutons/knöpfen” vases (except in a couple of excepcional cases).

On pic No.4 you can see... sort of a joke. When I first saw the vase I thought of Robbie the Robot, and so did Carlos (hence we always refer to it as “the robot” or even Robbie :) Carlos also found the other picture which we didn't exactly know what it was... though thanks to cogito we now know to be a dalek from Dr Who :)

BTW: can anyone tell what's the pattern of gold paint decoration?

Great piece and wonderful shape! No idea what the Dek # would be, but it's interesting that it has a Max Emmanuel Prod. Nr. analog. That may explain the presence of Turmalin in some shapes that are as yet unpublished - maybe the next volume with the commissioned pieces will shed some light!

@bohemian... I think we are all pretty impatient waiting for those new volumes to appear (btw, any news about when will the next one come out?)

@Welzebub. Of course you can! I guess by publishing our pics here at CW we are giving permission for our pics to be used by others, but it's very kind of you to ask for it. Which website is it, by the way?
