    Hello All!,
This magnificent piece of glass is a new acquisition. I purchased it yesterday, along with another wonderful piece ,( an old Provincetown litho of the UU Church, which has a Christopher Wren steeple ),.....what a day it was.
This piece is absolutely stunning. Heavy, a blue to smoke to clear lens-like and glorious piece of glass. Exquisitely formed, with a ground rim, an unusual,( to me ), hollow bottom which creates a beautiful light effect when viewed from above.
and it has a brilliant shape,( for it's large size, the bowl is quite shallow ).
Signed 'Klinger' along the bottom edge, for Czech glass artist Miroslav Klinger.
I've seen several Klinger pieces on-line ranging in price from fairly low to extremely high. I didn't see any with an actual signature, ( at least one wasn't mentioned in any of the descriptions ) , but most had a foil ' ZBS ' sticker, ( I believe the initials stand for Zeleny Brod Sklo ).
Looks, loves, and help are always appreciated,
    warm wishes all,
    Thank You,
    Tony.

FYI - there is a nice article on Klinger in Antonin Langhamer's book:

      http://books.google.com.au/books?id=UwLCa_h3hTEC&pg=PA172&lpg=PA172&dq=langhamer+klinger&source=bl&ots=1f8fXUWN6R&sig=7XapirROO95d9U4IQvY8zxULwsk&hl=en&sa=X&ei=m1jcUpG4HM-SiAe25oGAAw&ved=0CEAQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q=langhamer%20klinger&f=false
      Just search Klinger.

His politics got him into trouble.

      Miloslav Klinger gets difference hits.

That label might be ZBS too.
      Zelezny Brod Sklo.

By the way! Does it react to fluorescent light?
      Neodymium?

      Have you seen this one?
I think it is a production piece.

Yours is different and much better!

Kevin, Thanks for all of the great information. I feel a little foolish, having remembered the stickers incorrectly, thanks for the suggestion.
The links are wonderful, I've been reading there and have looked at the other Klinger bowl. I'm also fascinated by glass reacting to fluorescent light,....I'll have to try that.
You're a treasure, Kevin, thanks for the help.
I pray that this will be a happy New Year for you both, and your families.
      Tony.
