This is a lovely Chinese plate ,Canton or Nanking or neither I'm not sure ,but the piece has some enameling and gold though out the design , the underside also is designed with flowers, a four character under glaze blue mark that suggest the style of Kangxi Nian Zhi 1900

      This is really nice quality.
      Look carefully at the marks.
I think it might be earlier.
      Kangshi.
But with the usual caveat that you never believe marks.

      Kangxi 1662-1722.

Thank You vetraio50! I know what you mean about the marks so I kind of went for the conservative era , the plate is old , but I never thought it could be that early, I'm always a bit cautious when it comes to Chinese porcelain. But I hope it's True!

      Hi antiquesandcollectables38

This is definitely not a PERIOD piece of Kangxi porcelain but rather a later 19th century copy using the images of the period. It would date no earlier than probably 1890 to 1900 as the porcelain does not exhibit the normal greyish blue hue associated with authentic period pieces.

The Chinese loved to honour their forebears by reproducing wares in apprecation and veneration of their skills.

      I hope this helps

I agree with the greyness in plate, blue color with lot of greyness tone is not good in chinese items etc. ming blue/white repros. I think it is from 1950's but nice plate anyway.

actually i dont know what it is, its too light for kangxi revival probably , i think this is a hell of a piece with a sort of doucai soft paste, very nice balanced combination ,

i got it after months , it is a chinese breakfast plate dated guanghu 1875-1908, see pastel color and the pending jewel motif
