thank you very much for your comment Sean. do you know anything about the backround or the markings on these plates. I was wondering if they where worth holding onto or getting rid of as it's a shame for them to be packed away and not in use

I would hold on to them :)!! is that different markings on 2 plates or on the same plate?

the peacock marking is the symbol and the man and woman plate has the crown marking. it's just my mother has no real use for these they have been packed away years now and it's a shame they are not put to use. do you know of anybody/where who collects these that could value them. they are in mint condition

I believe the Limoges plate may have been exported from France by Atelier Limoges in the 1910-5o’s La Reine is French for “The Queen”. Unfortunately there are thousands of Limoges manufacturers ,which of course means there’s so many on the market, that the value is minimal.
The other plate may be Japanese. If you can find the maker, the value will increase.

thanks very much for the feed back Mary. I found the mark and it says it's from the 1990s which I don't agree with as it's been around over 30 years in my family. they don't seem to know much about the marking ????
