Here is a WWII Propaganda poster from my poster collection. This poster is very rare and hard to find; I was lucky enough to find this one at a yard sale a few years ago. When I found it, it was is really rough shape. It had a lot of creases, tears, water damage and mildew on it. I sent it out to my restoration guy and he brought it back to life. I just had it framed last week, now it hangs on my wall for all to enjoy and see.
There are 2 sizes printed of this poster, a large one and a smaller one , this being the smaller one at 10" w X 14" h.
The graphics in this poster were meant to show people to watch what they spoke about our troop movements in public because there could be German spies watching and listening. Although when they were posted in factories, workers though of it more like the the boss / supervisor is watching you. It's because of that miscommunication that this poster wasn't in print for very long, hence why its so rare and sought after by collectors.
Fun Fact:
It's said that this poster inspired George Lucas in creating the character Darth Vador from Star Wars.
Thanks for looking :)
Poster looks GREAT framed, might frame mine as well but I don't have much wall space left as I have a HUGE Magic poster collection and some of them are already on my walls. This poster is highly sought after though, so hang on to it! Check out my other posters on here, all original lithographs and a few more WWII posters as well. You have a GREAT eye my friend!
