I got this piece off CL too. Paid $45 for it. The lady said she bought it from an antique store a year ago. She said they told her it was very old but didn't give her a time frame.
It was sitting outside on her front porch. It is very small; 33" tall x 19" wide. The front seat sits 16" above the floor while the back sits about 9" above the floor.
The seller said it was an adult size rocking chair but, I'm 5'4" tall, weigh about 130 lbs and I felt like I was sitting on the floor when I sat in it. I'd say is designed for an older child.
It was quite dirty so I cleaned it with Touch of Oranges, let it dry then stained it using Golden Oak stain. It came out very nice and will be a great chair for my grandkids to rock in when they come over.
