Have this for a while. Do not have much info on it but believe it is Murano. I am thinking that it is AVEM. It does have both Gold and Silver foil flakes in it, some gold aventurine swirls in it. The pedestal base has a swirl design to it with a polished bottom and shows some good wear for age. It is:
~ Bowl width 5 inches x 5 inches, wavy edge
~ About 3.5 inches tall, total
~ The twisted base foot is about 1.5 inches tall
~ Weight is 1.32 pounds
I have only found a couple like this on the Net. None have any labels for definite proof of maker. It has been suggested that ones that tend to come with the "Vetro Artistico Veneziano" labels but not sure IF that is a manufacturer label or import/export label.
So maker/age remain a mystery until one found with a makers label. Any ideas welcomed!! The wear on the base does suggest age. This is NOT a marriage of the glass base added later as I have found other examples like this....
