This morning I've found a quite simmilar vase to this that Moonhill posted yesterday. I have no doubt that at least both mounts were made by the same people and, as for the glass part, they could easily be made at the same factory.

We've got it as perhaps Kralik, but it could easily be Rindskopf, as many of you have told moonhill about his/hers.

I hope you seeing this vase can help identifying both.

Thank you for your input on our vases. In my search for my vase, I found many different styles with similar bronze-brass frames.... all with different vases. Can't find similar glass as mine but did see yours. I know it's there to be found. Kralik I think is a good guess... I'm still looking..... Mr.Moon

Thanks Mr. Moon :) I hope you remember where did you see that shape and i hope we can find yours somewhere. It relly looks like yours was specifically designed to be in a mount (especially looking at the top of it).

You know, austrohungaro, I have quite a few Kralik crackle vases, and after discussing this with a friend, I think your vase may actually be a Loetz Mimosa...the crackle pattern is a bit different than in Kralik crackle. Personally, I find Mimosa to be a bit more vertical in its crackle pattern - I often see more 'L' shapes than in Kralik's crackle, which forms more random shapes. Here are some to take a look at: http://www.kralik-glass.com/loetzmimosaarray.html
      Just a thought! :)

Loetz? oh, my! :) Well, will ask "the expert" to look for this pattern at his books. It will be a great joy for him if this one ends up being a Loetz vase :)

Thanks so much for the input, Michelle!!!

Hi austrohungaro. Both this and your link are very nice. I love this style, Art nouveau but with a kind of Germanic, WMF look, does this particular style have a name do you know?
    13. austrohungaro austrohungaro, 10 years ago
Well, I guess you mean Jugendstil, which is the German name and version for Art Nouveau. I remeber seeing building in Germany -Darmstadt, for instance- that could be catalogued as rt Nouveau more than Jugendstil... and some pieces of Lötz glass from before 1900 could be catalogued as such.
