My grandmother's pretty aquamarine necklace. Does any one from what era this hails? Thanks.

My goodness this is lovely. It looks Georgian to me...they loved aquamarine and that lavaliere style. Beautiful piece, I am sure one of our jewelry collectors can give you more detail. Any markings on it?

AmberRose, I don't see any marks on it. Thanks for your input, perhaps it is Georgian... I'm happy that you admire it. Cheers.

Hi. I think that this might possibly be a transitional piece - Edwardian festoon swag necklace tending towards Deco. I am very ignorant about jewelry, however! Perhaps if you posted photos of the mountings and the clasp unit, someone might venture another opinion. What a glorious cascade of aquamarine stones! : )

Hey Mikko, Thanks for your response and observations. I bet your era guessing is correct. You have a good eye. I will try to get a close up of the settings and clasp up soon. Thanks again!
