You know you have a problem when you collect something like old hose nozzles. I have been in construction for many years and have found these during that time. Some were found underneath the dirt near hose spigots on homes that were built back in the 30's & 40's One was still attached to an old piece of long ago rotted hose. When I talk about my "addictions" as far as collecting goes, I bring this collection up just to make a point of how serious my problem really is. I remember finding the second one but not the 1st one. Once I had two, the ones that reared their brass head after that knew they had a home. I have another group of 6-8 pieces that I couldn't lay my hands on at the time of this pic & posting.
I have some of those also that I have put back. Kinda cool huh?
Thank you Elkylover. Now I don't feel so alone with my numerous collections.
How stupid is this? I pick them up too. It reminds me of when I was little, can't seem to help myself.
My grandfather has a few, he was on the fire department 1959-86.
Thanks to Vestaswind & VikingFan82. This is about the craziest collection I have going at present. I'm glad I'm not alone in this one. Best regards, Kerry
Any time I see one in a garage or estate sale for a buck I buy it. Now have over 30 and still looking.
Now I never thought about someone collecting hose nozzles. Any Boomers out there and before also might have recollections of being assigned to water the garden with the brass nozzle. It was great to make it into a stream and soak my sister!
hey love this piece on hose nozzles ,can i ask u ??i found old brass nozzle when i was repairing my deck but it leaks on inside of it,i have smaller version that comes apart but this older model will not come apart,is there a trick to get inside to fix the rings?
