On a previous occasion I have posted a Kongstrand vase with a slightly idiosyncratic glaze combination (black with white dots, combined with lustre: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/110771-kongstrand-vase-denmark-1910s), and I now post some other vases showing off the results of Kongstrand’s glaze experiments.

On the left a vase with a fantastic blue crystalline glaze. The shape is typically simple, allowing the glaze to ‘shine’. In general, Kongstrand was inspired by nature and many of the glazes have names such as ‘butterfly’s wing’, ‘silk’, ‘snowflake’ etc., but I don’t think this glaze had a name. On the right, however, are two smaller vases, which I bought very cheaply on a flea market (the seller hadn’t seen the (faint) mark, or didn’t know it). They are decorated with a black and white crazed glaze called ‘hoarfrost’. This type of glaze is unique to the Kongstrand pottery.

Height of blue vase: 9.5 cm. It is marked with ‘SK’ for Soren Kongstrand and ‘Esbjerg’ (town where the pottery was located). Height of the two b/w vases: 9 and 10 cm. They are marked with ‘SK’.

Hi Jensen! Lovely glazes indeed! Can I email you some pictures of what might be a Kongstrand/Pedersen? You seem very well educated on the matter :)
