    I also acquired this item at an estate sale, I have no idea what it is. I believe the top piece is a clay or pottery piece of some sort and the outer ring of the container is bronze or copper. The woman on the top is most likely of Victorian era. The inside has a felt/velvet lining. Might be a jewerly container. Thanks for looking and trying to help! :)
