A bright and happy group of contemporary glass from Tachikichi Japan.
Marketed under the name Adam & Eve these are good examples of their style.
Bright clean colour, internally cased in white, thin glass, and fire polished bases and rims.
The green and pink have been satinised and the red has an applied clear glass handle.
I am currently trying to find out if Tachikichi were the producers of Radio Brand glass in the 60s and 70s as there are a lot of similarities.
Nice retro pieces from Japan! Looks like inspiration from Holmegaard.
Thanks Rebessin!
Certainly some Holmegaard influence there although these feel and look very different in the flesh.
These are still made today by Tachikichi.
So Adam are the straight lined ones and Eve the rounded ones?
Excellent question Austro! No it's just one of those odd Japanese brand names.
Thanks!
I remember two ashtrays called Adam and Eve by the dutch Andries van Onck and the Japanese Hiroko Takeda... but in this case there are small hints about the names :)

Well they are über cool, and there is a reason they are so named! Thanks!
me too, but won't say which... there might be kids reading this!
I always thought these designs were older, but they're just from 1985...
I love them!
