cocacolaki…
(132 items)
This is my most prized Posesion of my collection. It's a circa 1904-1908 BIM Wheeling W. Va. Straight Sided Coca Cola bottle. It's got a chip on the tail of "Coca" but other then that, perfect, prestine condition. The bottler a the time was Stratford Magnesia Springs Co. (really? Magnesia?) and was The bottler of coke for the Wheeling area (not far from columbus) when Joesph Whitehaed (and I forget the other guy's name) licensed them to bottle it. This is one of the rarer west virgina ss coke bottles to find, and when I found this in a antique shop, I worked my butt off getting the money for this thing. When I finally came up with the 100 dollars to buy this thing, my parents, family, and friends though I was crazy buying a bottle for $100. It was all worth it, my blood, sweat and tears went into this thing, and I got it appraised at a bottle show near cincinatti for well over $250-$300, includng the chip. I hope other people enjoy it as much as I do, because I sure enjoy it!
Markets vary for bottles, at a second appraisel, a guy gave me two prices. 150-200 dollars for a un-specific bottle collector, but over 300 for a W. Va. bottle collector. But I would never, ever sell it.
Damn, youre dedicated kid. Most I have paid for a bottle is about $10.
I want to thank you so much for all the love you showed to the items I have listed on here my friend. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with you and so many other awesome people on CW. If there is every anything you need related to collectables please ask and hopefully I can help. Always wishing you and your family nothing but the best cocacolakid. Godspeed....
I just found a bottle exactly like this one over the weekend while digging a ditch. It is awesome.
