Can anyone tell us what this is,how old and value?
Someone had painted it brown, when I tried to wash it with oil soap the brown was washing off so I stopped. I appears to be yellow under the brown, how should I clean it, Or should I just leave it as it is?

Here is a place that can likely answer your questions. It looks to be from the 1870's but let us know what you find out !
I have one real similar to yours. Have you had any luck finding out if it is real or repro? Do you know the value and if so what are they worth? Thanks,....John

I am looking at buying one now and have done some research. If it is genuine antique,it will not have:any welds,6 sided bolts(should be 4 sided),phillips head screws or bolts.
What I found was that one like yours sold at auction 5 yrs ago that they said was a French Velocipede, Garnier Tricycle. It sold for $600. Only found reference to one made like yours, all the rest have handle bars coming out the top of the head made like regular tricycle handlebars. Hope this helps.
I have similar tricycle. Did anyone find out anything about this?
I just bought a horse velocipede exactly like the one pictured above. It does not have:any welds,6 sided bolts(should be 4 sided),phillips head screws or bolts. Still wondering if anyone has found out any more about it?
I had one years ago, used to let the grandkids ride it, one day the grandson fell over and the horses leg broke to reveal it was made of some kind of composit material!! The kids loved it so I won't call it a fake. Mine was just not old!!!
1990's Philippine Import. I bought and sold many of them. They were available in three sizes . The company also made Wicker Doll Buggies, regular tricycles, and victorian wooden bird cages.
I just created my account today as I'm always in search of old antiques' information such as when it was made and worth..... My mother recently come across one of these horses on a tricycle and she is wondering its value and if its an original or a replica. I read the above comments talking about 4 or 6 screws... is this the area of where the saddle is? Hers has 6 nails on the saddle (3 on each side) If anyone has any information please contact me via email if possible. She would love to know as much about this item she recently received as she can get. Thanks in advance everyone!
I tried checking out the website that someone wrote above in comments and it doesn't work.... tricyclefetish.com/tricycle_photos.php…. So anyone with any information or where I can find out more information about this horse on a tricycle please let me know. I would really love to find out the name of what company made this product as well. Thanks in advance!
