    This painting is by Jacques Ourtal and the subject is St. Jean De Luz. When I purchased this painting it was very dark and I had it professionally cleaned. The artist has a town named after him in France and it seems as if he was a very interesting character. I would love to be on this beach right now!

      I wonder why all the tents are here I would think bathing huts to put on bathing suits and remove

      I have seen these tents in lots of other paintings. I think that they just "camped out" there for awhile.

      The restoration improve the color a lot, very bright, i did't see before, but now this something nice, this one..... is on Board or Canvas ?
