    I am trying to find details as to whether thes might be original photos. I am waiting on a reply from the Dudley Observatory. While I am waiting I thought I would share them here.

      These belonged to a friends father. They wanted me to see what I could find out.

      These appear to be albumen prints and would have been contact printed on like size glass plates.

      Every indication that I can see is that they are originals-- most likely printed and sold soon after the dates on the mounts.
