Porcelaain signs are like gold.
The USS ones are the older ones. People collect certain cities and I have seen them go for $99.00.
OK, I have been collecting these since 1992 and have researched them extensively, The USS signs with the square logo, in fact, the newest used between about 1962-1980s. The signs with the "city" signs (location of the sales and installation office). These signs were only hung on fences installed by Cyclone crews.
City signs were utilized from 1947 thru about 1960. The Cincinnati and LA both date to approximately 1951. The Cleveland is circa 1958 and the Berwyn is about 1955. There are 98 cities verified. I believe I have 96 of them at present in my collection. Prior to the porcelain signs, Cyclone used a variety of embossed brass & aluminum plates, a few litho (painted metal), and a few others.
Bill
