    Hi,

my grandfather just gave me these and they came from a great-great-aunt in NYC originally.

I don't know what they are: vases, ginger jars, hat stand or ........?
Crane and Lotus design, on a rounded foot. Are they missing a lid?

    Marked "China" on the bottom.

Who can tell me how old these are.......and what??
    Thanks for your help,

    Nessa

they are nice square vases from Qing dynasty. Dare to say, they probably from mid 19c China. Even better, the square shaped one is rare for the difficult to make.
Unfortunately, the lids are missing, but still good for decoration. Crane and Lotus is traditional Chinese motif resembles career success.

The 'CHINA' mark pretty much dates it after 1890, and from the looks of the mark, much later. from what i've learned.
