This bird is an amber/strawberry colored sommerso glass with a clear base and aqua colored eyes. The bird is 15 inches tall, 5 inches across and 4.5 inches wide.

Thanks for the pic Artglass. It looked rough, but I wasn't sure. A Murano piece would have a smooth base, not left unfinished, so I doubt it's Murano. Still a cool goose though.
Hi Rick55...Actually I have had 2 birds in the past that have had this same bottom and they have had the generic oval green "venetian glass" foil sticker on the bottom. As always....Thanks for your input. I took the "Murano" out of the description for now....Cheers
I have a Venetian Bird (Rooster) here -- it probably had a Venetian label too at one time.

I found a recent sold listing on e-bay with a green foil label. It is the same style bird as mine, but is red and 9.5 inches tall ...It is 5 inches across like mine ..but the neck is bent to it's chest...mine has a straightened neck and a pink color. Cheers.
