There is not much I can say about this one other than it is a new addition to my vintage costume jewelry collection. There are no marks anywhere. I believe it might date to the first half of the last century.
Some of the little pearls are missing but I can replace them.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks a lot, SEAN68 and mikelv85:)
your very welcome freiheit!!!
Surprising that there aren't more comments on here from the jewelry people. We miss the ones that are no longer with us. :(
Right Katherine! Had no time when I loved it, then forgot to come back and say it is a very, very fine early costume brooch :-)
I can't see the catch and hinge, but from the front I feel it earlier in era!
You are always so kind and generous, kyratango. :)
Thanks so much for your comments, kyratango and katherinescollections. By the way, the brooch has a c-clasp. I have to take better pictures next time. If you look closely, there is a little white piece of a tube visible. I think someone put it there so the c-clasp would be tighter.
Yep, this is a perfect trick to secure a brooch by tightening the closure!
