Sevres-Style lidded urn with a bleu celeste ground, inside the lid there is a strange mark in underglaze blue. The cartouche is of very high quality as the dore bronze mounts marked France. Here there is a similar one http://www.lawsons.com.au/asp/fullCatalogue.asp?salelot=8054B++++++9+&refno=31143745&saletype=P

Inside the reserve you a gallant scene with a man playing the guitar is pretty but no as good as other painted French porcelain I had posted http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/143908-a-sevres-urn-lamp.

¿Does any one knows about the mark?

i don,t known much about sevres, and it is not consistent probably but it might be prudent , to judge the style and it might be louis 16 style altough it is inconsistent with the celeste blue

what could be happening that we are in some kind of vincennes sevres style , and then we are stylisticly before 1840

the inconsistency is the word french coming in which makes it later

so i don,t know, but i really digged deep
