Pink vase with applied glass ribbon and mica flecks. Pretty much says it all. Just adding ome of the photos I used to have in here..
Think its between 1885 and 1930...lol...there you go. for some a life time for others a period f time where pretty pink vases were made....stands around 7 inches high and 4 inces wide at the widest point minus the ribbon....
I adore this vase and the British lady who sold it to me was a real sweatheart who soon stop selling becauseof a new baby and marriage breakdown. But she was a lover of Kralik, Welz, Loezt, Harrach and adored the same period as I do....
Enjoy xxx
Like a pink tutu! Too too pretty too.
I'll go with "Pretty in Pink" :)
very nice
thanks Karen, Kevin and Marty...I like the Ballerina and Pretty in Pink but also love a Spanish dancer wrapping a fine lace shawl around her body.... :)
Thanks for enjoying my pink little girl...
I've seen a few Harrach vases with this shade of pink and rigaree.
stunning darling..........................
This is so pretty Anne. I love the silver bits in it, is it silver? :)
Yes Fran they are silver bits,
Mica flecks of silver are silver coated on to aluminium...this is the usual technique,.
:)
He he, 5 months later and I finally own a mica vase :) hi Anne, I knew I'd seen and liked this glass before but forgotten all about this post until MacArt linked to it.
I'll add a link to mine, if you don't mind...

I thought it maybe British but everyone's saying Czech, lol, one day I may actually find an English vase. I'd love your opinion on it. It was sold as Victorian, but I've been told that before.
Thank you for your lovely email, I owe you one :)

They think English too :)
they are stunning FRAN but not for those prices. They have some gorgeous things dont they but I would need to be insane! I think my whole mica collection which is sum total about 7 or 8 pieces is underneath that price. Maybe I'm just a canny buyer. However Rubylane typically charge higher prices because they sell in the main from antique shops so they have higher out goings. A business model that I believe will eventually die off and be replaced by online, auctions and private sales....
Wow! I have just been searching for around an hour or so and this is exactly what I have just purchased! What a fantastic piece isn't it, plus I grabbed it for a real bargain!
