This lamb was my aunts who owned a furniture store in the 30 or 40s.Of all the things that she had this lamp was my favorite, but I know nothing about it.The only markings I have found on it is the word France on the pink glass.Any help that you could give me would be great.Thank you
This lamp is absolutely beautiful what I can see of it. The crystals are beautiful, and so is the color of the shade.
I just bought two of these, so I will be researching information on them. I will let you know what I find out.
Mine were delivered over the weekend, and there is no information with mine, the previous owner did not know how old or where they originated. I will do some research and find out...mine have a double row of crystal prisms on them, but they look very similair and the globes are the same.
I have a very similar lamp that I ordered from the Tyrol catalog in the early to mid-1990s. Exact same color with same etching. Hardware the same also. The hanging crystals may be slightly different. I will have to study it at home to better note the differences. I will update with more info.
yes this piece is newer, not old. it is a very pretty lamp. thanks for sharing!
I wish I could see more of the base of the lamp. But I bought one that looks EXACTLY like this (at least the portion that shows)...in 1989 at a tiny little family run antique shop along a long windy road, miles from any civilization...yes...in Italy.
The base of mine is quite unique, being a brass figurine of a woman with 2 very young children at her feet, one in her womb. Her arms are stretched upward, and then on the very top (screwing in above the etched glass) is a little brass angel, or cherub...as though it was either a child she would have, or one she had lost. (That's what it came to mean to me...as I later lost my first born infant, then went on to have 3 more.)
Anyhow, it was, even then, very old...though the etched glass MUST have been replaced in more recent years...as yours looks to be. But mine says nothing. But the brass rim, , crystals, glass & EVERYTHING that can SEE in your photo are exactly the same. except that my glass was light blue, instead of pink...until it broke last year during a move. :(. That's why I've been researching & looking all over the web for a match. Wanna sell me your glass? :).
I have one so very much like yours, fromwhat I can see.Mine has the name Holland on it.I got mine at a flea market.I recently broke the top when cleaning house. Now I am heart broken.I am hoping to find out where to find a replacement. Thanks for sharing!
