    30p!!!!!!!!!
A pretty hand painted Chinese lidded blue & white flower pattern pot.
    Recycling centre find!
It's 5" h x 4" across & in very good condition , I've had a look on Gothenburg's site but can't seem to find the 4 character mark which is on the base ..
It's crackle glazed but on close inspection it has its own glaze crazing which makes me wonder if its older than I first thought?? (1960s=80s)
It also has a gold painted rim where the lid and pot touch...
Any ideas to point me in the right direction???
Many thanks for looking & hope you love it as I do :-)

You're welcome sd, the metal rim (as OAS mentioned) especially makes this little pot interesting compared to a painted gold rim. Is it copper? :)
    15. surfdub66 surfdub66, 9 years ago
      Hi LuluX :-)
      Thanks for your interest !!
It's not copper .. Im sure its brass/bronze !! Didn't notice this at all , I thought it was gold painted .. Well spotted :-)
I wonder what the flowers are ?? Chrysanthemums???

Newer ceramics styles like these are not my specialty though I can say that this exact size, shape, color is made in large quantities in Thailand. Likely this is a reproduction.

The marks says "Made in the Year of the Jiaqing Reign." This is NOT from the Jiaqing Period.
    26. apostata apostata, 4 years ago
no the whole mark is bogus there are two way to write jiaging one with a side dot and one with 4 dots under neath the bar (right under )
    27. apostata apostata, 4 years ago
and also the imitation is bogus unfortunately if you want to imitate an beehive crackle , you have to do it the late guanghu periode ( f,i kangxi revival ) this imitation ought to be Qianlong imitation see the rim , but it aint so its almost certain not late guangxu periode

Thanks for the info wma & apostata much appreciated;-)
