This was bought yesterday as a present for Susana Farfán. Ricardo chose it as a birthday present. Toucan is rather impressive bird very common in the north east of Argentina, in the Iguazú falls. I love them, they a re very big an the colo of the feathers is a bright black, contrasting with the intense orange of the beck. This figurine most probably was done here in Córdoba, there used to be an artisan in Dique Los Molinos, was very good, he imported the rods of glass and I was very interested in looking to him while doing the animal figurines and the clowns he did with maestry. I can not discard that it is a Murano, surely the artisan was a ventetian since the major Italian immigration from Italy was from the Julia Veneto Province. There is lot of good glass done in Argentina.

I had pet Toucans while living in Paraguay & they were awesome friends. I hand fed them as chicks and they were very affectionate. The one would come to the glass doors when he saw me in the evenings and peck at the glass until I would pick him up and pet him. Amazing bird & beautiful doesn't describe him

I happen to love these. I can't say for sure, but they could well be Russian Lampwork, and that would make these "top of the line." I have a pair of Parrots on clear tree/branch, somewhat similar to your Toucans. Probably a safe bet. These are true gems. https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/151799-russian-lampwork--miniature-glass-parro
