One of my sons is an avid baseball card collector and occasionally buys me something interesting. Shown here is an autographed card he gave me a couple years back of Harold “Peewee” Reese jumping high to avoid a runner trying to break up a double-play. Okay, not the best condition card we’ve seen but a decent representation with a nice auto.
Collectors consider the leaping Peewee card a classic because there is nothing else like it. Interestingly, the picture was taken during spring training. These particular Peewee cards are not rare but definitely appealing.
Peewee, also a National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, is best known as one of a few players who befriended Jackie Robinson at the start of his career. The middle in-field duo of Reese and Robinson eventually became recognized for making double-plays.
have a fella down the road called Pee Wee ...lol didn't think the name was to common. .nice card ...
