    Hi
    Everyone.
I have to say, going at the Salvation Army 5 time a day, sometime pay off.
I found this COAL BOX, it's a gorgeous piece of art, the hardware it's just stunning, Art Nouveau style, the assembly on this piece is mix of tenon and mortises, Shape like a triangle with some metalwork insert, first when i see it, i think shoe box, but when i see the wear inside+the insert, i excluded this possibility. The picture #4 show where the shovel should go on the Box.
Thank you to Kyratango to help solving the mystery.

This Coal box stand 13.50 inch tall, 20.50 inch deep, 13.50 wide.

    Thanks for Viewing.

This is what I mean on your site you never know what you will see
    13. lovedecanters lovedecanters, 9 years ago
Do not strip the paint it is the original ebonising laquer, it is supposed to like this. It looks like a Christopher Dresser design and if you strip it you will be devaluing it. This is not art nouveau it is earlier and aesthetic movement piece. If you Google "aesthetic movement ebonised furniture", you will see that you have something that was high fashion in the 1870s. Please don't destroy it.

@ lovedecanters,, do not be worry i am not a newcomers with antique, i start dealing with antique in the 70-80, i know that the colours was 60% of the value, with very older piece(xvii-xviii)even more.
I am a conservator for museum in Quebec city for many years, so please don't worry, i will not destroy anything.
When i mention this it's just words, not actions.
Many thanks for the comment, input and the love, much appreciated.
