At a (bit of an educated) guess I would say this vase has been made to a Toshi Iwata design. He was keen on fluid shapes and pulegoso, and had a love of colour.
    1960s (? - that's a real guess)

I have noticed in my internet travels that people ask silly money for anything with an Iwata label. The thing is, Iwata was a production studio, and like many in Europe, workers made pieces to a design. An Iwata sticker does not mean that Toshichi or Hisatoshi Iwata made the piece. Their hand made work is signed, will come with a tomobako, and have a hand made price attached! A bit like buying a piece of Holmegaard designed by Per Lutkin and buying a piece MADE by Per Lutkin. Beware....

    This is big! 35cm

thats interesting and so very true of many studios or artists factories where the brand or the artist, who is the key? Well simple really, both as a must together...the rest, whilst interesting and of the artists design, some ppl dont bother..we get the same in ceramics, glass, jewellery...I find myself having to become an expert in the death dates of these ppl :(

      Again, lovely item ...Anne

Monlaru thanks for your appreciation. I really love and collect anything old but glass, particularly Japanese, is my first passion.
Looking forward to seeing more of your things. Your china duos and bits are lovely, so I am sure there is more great things to see.
      Welcome to CW. Karen
