Sasaki bowl by Takeuchi

I have posted a green one of these before but you know how it is, gotta get all the colours!

I love these bowls. Thick almost like plastic, perfect form and finish.

These are one of the few bits of Japanese glass that seems to have a very high value in Japan. The Japanese generally seem to be a bit slow in picking up on their glass heritage, but these Denji Takeuchi designs have a good following. I have been trying for ages to get the ellipse shaped bowl in this series, but demand for them is very high!

These are from the 1960s and are as good as anything from Scandinavia (or so I think!)
